Research On The Export Competitiveness Of Vegetable Industry In Liaoning

As a big agricultural province in China, the vegetable industry of Liaoningprovince has had a large scale, but the problem of insufficient export competitiveness inthe international market still exist. Improving the vegetable industry’s exportcompetitiveness has become the key problem need to be solved of its furtherdevelopment. The research on the vegetable’s export competitiveness levels is rational,targeted on establishing countermeasures which can improve its export competitiveness.This paper regards the export competitiveness of vegetable industry in Liaoningprovince as research object, and regards comparative advantage and competitiveadvantage theory as the theoretical basis. I will use the method of combining theoreticalanalysis and empirical studies to measure its export competitiveness with evaluationindex, then use Michael. Porter’s “diamond model” to analyze the causes of the results,finally I will put forward the corresponding countermeasures according to these reasons.Based on the results of vegetables’ export competitiveness, the countermeasurespresented will help Liaoning province to adjust its industrial structure reasonably, so asto enhance the overall export competitiveness of vegetables industry, and promoteeconomic development.The first part of this paper is introduction, including background and significanceof this topic, research status at home and abroad, research methods and innovationpoints; then I will present the theoretical basis of the export competitiveness; and thenanalyze the current situation of its production and export trade, through the productionscale, exporting scale, exporting commodity’s structure, and source area of exporting;the forth part is the export competitiveness’s empirical analysis of vegetable industry inLiaoning province, it obtains the results of its export competitiveness, and then I willanalyze the causes with “diamond model” for the results; in the end I will put forwardthe corresponding countermeasures on the basis of these reasons.
