Nowadays, as science and technology developing in a fast speed, economic globalizationaccelerating rapidly, knowledge economy thriving, the core talent competition of knowledgeupdating and technology innovation becomes increasingly fierce. In current iron and steel industry,the cultivation of knowledge worker has become the trend of development, and the strength of itspower determines the degree of innovation of science and technology development. Currently, aseries of problems exist in the iron and steel enterprise research institute in china, the knowledgeworker is the main body of innovation of science and technology in research institute. Strengtheningthe knowledge staff’s incentive has great significance to promote the core competitiveness ofinstitute.According to the actual situation of iron and steel enterprise research institute in china, basedon the theory of the motivation and knowledge worker, the status of Chinese iron and steelenterprise research institute is analyzed, and the disadvantages are pointed out. And the incentivemechanism of knowledge worker is constructed. Some very effective measures are given out. Fromthe view of establishing a scientific incentive mechanism and a high skilled talent, this thesis selectsthe case of Shougang research institute, hoping that it can provide some reference for otherinstitutes’ work of incentive of knowledge workers.The contents are as follows:Chapter1introduces the background of this research and the meaning for this title, reviews thetheory of the knowledge worker’s incentive from domestic and international, and researchframework and method on its basis is proposed.Chapter2gives the definition of knowledge worker and characters. And it also discussesrelevant basic theory of staff incentive and analyzes the theory of high level technology talents.Chapter3analyzes the status and issues of the incentive methods of knowledge worker of ironand steel enterprise research institute in china profoundly.Chapter4based on the conclusion of incentive theory and rules, constructs the incentivemechanism of knowledge worker from four aspects, which are the payment incentive, corporateculture incentive, work incentive and personal growth incentive. The basic security measures forimplementation of the incentive mechanism have proposed.Chapter5takes the knowledge worker incentive mechanism of Shougang research institute asexample to carry out a case study.Chapter6summarizes the research, points out the weak points and the parts where need furtherresearch.
