This article focused on how to inspire knowledge workers in institute Z, which belonged to the more cutting-edge issues of human resource discipline. At present, more and more domestic enterprises begin to pay attention to the inspiration of knowledge workers, such as how to meet the demand of knowledge workers and effectively motivate their potency and creativity. These questions are urgently needed to be solved in many enterprises. Workers in Z institute have the distinct characteristics of knowledge workers, although some incentives have been taken for these knowledge workers, but the investigation showed that because of the shackles of traditional ideas and system, there are still many problems in the incentive mechanism. The incentive mechanism neglected of the distinct characteristics of knowledge workers, so that failed to achieve the expected incentive effect, and resulted in low staff morale and constant whinge and talent outflow. Therefore, it is urgent to study the incentive problems of institute Z to ensure the stability of the talents, and to promote the realization of the strategic objectives, to ensure the successful completion of the key tasks of the state.Based on theory and practice, this paper used literature research, depth interview and questionnaire survey to study the incentive problems of knowledge workers in institute Z. Firstly, we induced the research background, goals and significance.Secondly, we reviewed the typical incentive theory to lay the theoretical foundation of analyzing the motivation issues of knowledge workers in institute Z. In addition, this paper reviewed the basic concept, characteristics and specific requirements of knowledge workers, and put forward that the motivation of knowledge workers must be targeted combined with their specific features. Thirdly, taking institute Z as the research object, this paper analyzed the existing situation of knowledge workers motivation in institute Z. Reference the motivation experience of the business at home and abroad, put forward the idea, the principle, the goal and the contents of incentive mechanism design for institute Z. Finally, this paper tried to put forward suggestions for improving the incentive problems of knowledge workers in institute Z.
