The Improvement Research Of TL Company Supplier Management

Supplier is the start point playing a very important role especially in the upstream process of the whole supply chain cycle. Therefore, Supplier management acts a very important position in the supply chain management naturally. An excellent supplier who does good performance on cost, lead time, quality, quick response will bring big benefit to its customers. In addition, a supplier who has well capability on R&D with good execution can support an efficient new product realization and speed up the new product launch, all of these will create the added value and competitive advantages to its customers. So, supplier management will be one of very important parts of strategic enterprise management.TL Company is the research target in this dissertation, this research is assumed to find out the problems and defects in TL company’s supplier management and then bring forward with optimize solutions based on the detailed analysis on TL company’s current supplier management status, and finally improve TL company’s supplier management level, better support TL company’s mid-long term growth strategy.This dissertation is based on a lot of literature studies and connected with the real situation investigation in TL company’s supplier management, mainly focus on3topics in supplier management areas, firstly is new supplier development, secondly is supplier evaluation and selection, and thirdly is supplier classification and supplier relationship management, this dissertation made deeply discussion under the guidance of relevant theories on TL company’s supplier management, and came up with corresponding optimized solutions. Main tools and theories used in this dissertation including AHP, commodity strategy theories, and strategic purchasing theories, and most of them have melted into the author’s working experience. Finally, the effectiveness results analysis was presented in this thesis after more than one year’s deployment of improved or optimized solutions and actions.
