In the competitive market, manufacturing execution system(MES) and energy management system have been more and more concerned, and play an increasingly important role in the operation management of steel industry in China. The MES positioning for the optimal management of the entire production process is an important bridge for communication of business management and on-site production operations. Energy is the important element of the production process in the iron and steel enterprises, and enterprise manager also will attach great importance to account for a large proportion of energy management in energy costs.As an important part of the production cost, the energy consumption in the iron and steel enterprises, in addition to the traditional focus:production, equipment, quality and other factors, has also become an important factor of production management. For energy management, energy consumption and production performance is closely related, and the energy forecast also must get the support of the production data.According to the MES project implementation in S company, in addition to the construction of the traditional functions of MES module, the article try to carry out the integration of energy management and MES, build a new model of management thinking. The integration will be the development trend. The integration of energy management and MES is a new attempt. It is also an important reference to other companies related.
