With the continuous development of economic globalization, cluster model canreduce the cost of enterprise, enhancing exchanges, strengthening the cooperation anddivision of labor and technology promotion. What’s more, it can strengthen the linkbetween economic development and social capital and it has become an effectivemode of industrial development. Above all, Cluster provides a good innovationalenvironment for the industry development, accelerating the frequency of informationexchange, promoting the knowledge spillover and other external effects. The internallevel of innovation and motivation mechanism of cluster is important way to enhancethe competitiveness of industry.This study firstly reviews the related literatures of innovation, the industrialinnovational competitiveness. Secondly, it defines the characteristics, classificationand scope of the equipment manufacturing industry in order to lay the foundation ofthis research. It constructs the industry competitiveness model from the point of viewof the industrial cluster, innovation ability, spatial agglomeration and classify theindustry competitive situation reasonably. The passage builds industry cluster modelusing index of location quotient and EG.Then, it carefully assesses the level ofequipment manufacturing industry cluster of Jilin province basing on the data of thestatistical yearbook statistical yearbook of Jilin province, Changchun city, Jilin city,Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture. Additionally, It constructs the index systemof cluster innovation and measures the degree of innovation within the cluster basingon the cluster innovation resources, import, output index, environment index. In orderto eliminate the influence of index units and an order of magnitude, the essay firstlytakes advantage of average method to standardize data. Then, after comparing the various method calculating weight, it chooses the entropy value method to calculateindex weight and calculate and rank the industry innovation ability of Jilin province,Heilongjiang province, Liaoning to calculate in northeast China. From the aspect ofspace, it uses the global autocorrelation and partial autocorrelation model, taking theindustrial space geography into account. Using the principal component analysis, thestudy does the dimensionality reduction of9indicators, and has carried on theregression analysis between the spatial autocorrelation values and the industryinnovation ability index and does the empirical study the industry of equipmentmanufacturing of Jilin province. Finally, the paper proposes the developmentcountermeasure and the suggestion, combining with the practical situation of Jilinprovince, from the perspective of industrial cluster, innovation ability, spatialagglomeration.
