The formation of global economic integration has brought domestic enterprises numerous opportunities and, at the same time, more fierce market competition. Therefore, in an era of meager profit in IT industry where the development of products and cost are becoming more and more transparent, the primary goal of an enterprise is to survive, followed by profit making as much as possible and enhancement of product competitiveness. However, compared with cost savings in front-end procurement which can render the whole company profit making, cost savings in back-end production and sales are very little. Advanced enterprises are therefore acutely aware that good procurement management is the top priority of an enterprise, the importance of which is self-evident in the inclusion of procurement management at the level of strategic management by major international companies.In order to improve the status quo of procurement in G Computer Company, this thesis conducts a comprehensive study and analysis of G Computer Company, proceeding as follows. First, supply chain management and procurement theory is introduced to provide an explicit theoretical basis for the analysis of procurement management in G Computer Company; Second, based on the actual situation of the G Computer Company, a detailed analysis is made in aspects of the overall situation and the actual situations of its procurement, with emphasis on the problems existing in G Company;Third, specific measures are proposed to improve procurement management from such aspects as procurement strategy, procurement management processes, organizational management, control management, performance management, supplier management, and risk management; and Finally, constructive supporting measures are put forward in light of the actual situations of state-owned enterprises to specifically cope with the problems of G Company and thus ensure the smooth progress of the improvement.G Computer Company through comprehensive analysis conducted above can focus on its major problems, strategically change its procurement management, emphasizing on the establishment of strategic partnership with suppliers, and finally achieve strategic cooperation and the win-win objective.
