The Problems Analysis And Corrective Actions On Production Operation Management Of Mobile Phone ODM Supplier B Company

Production operation management is one of the management sciences with more application, which was being researched among many fields of management in the past years. The research areas of production operation management focus on the Materials Request Plan (MRP), production process management and quality management. Based on the analysis on production operation management system of B Company, this article focuses on the main problems of Materials Request Plan (MRP) and production capability, and deeply drill the root cause of these problems, and then give the corrective actions on the management of MRP and promotion actions on production capability.Based on the analysis of MRP system, this article found the main problems are that the MRP of B Company is delayed than the Customer Request Plan, caused by the quantity and delivery time in the MRP shared to material suppliers deviated during the sharing process. This deviation causes material arrival time and quantity not to meet production request, then the production capacity lost. By deep drilling of the problems, the root causes are the MRP of different materials shared to materials suppliers by different platform, some by mails, some by PO system, and some by internal sharing systems of B Company. Multi-platform sharing increase the risk of sharing deviation caused by human failure or system breakdown. Based on this analysis on the root cause, we set up an integrated sharing system for all materials to share the MRP to materials by one platform. This integrated sharing system can envois the sharing failure caused by human and can find the system breakdown as soon as it happens.This article also analyses the production capacity deeply, which is the main aspect of production operation management. As an example of T production line, by researches on the production capacity of B Company and analysis of problem of production capacity, this article finds out the key point of limitation of T production line, and gives the promotion actions for T production line, then increase the production capacity of T production line.Based on the analysis of quality management system and operating of B Company, this article finds the defects of quality management as unsound function of the quality management department without special team for supplier quality management, total quality management not developing, not control the root cause of quality issue during the production process. And then, this article gives the corrective actions on the above three problems to improve the quality management of B company and increase the efficiency of quality management.
