The Research On The Indicator System Of Performance Evaluation Of Commercial Bank Of China

The operating performance of commercial Banks not only reflects the competitivenesscompletely, but also it is an important standard which measures the operating performance,technology of development, and the utilization of resources of the commercial banks. So, ithas important practical significance to evaluate the operating performance of commercialBanks which could enhance the market competitiveness and risk prevention. Theestablishment of the evaluation index should comply with objectivity, comprehensive,importance, comparability, quantitative and qualitative principles and so on. The paperbuilds a set of scientific and comprehensive performance evaluation index which issuitable for Chinese national conditions from financial and non-financial aspects, afterabsorbing the domestic and foreign advanced thoughts, which depends on the managementenvironment of the Chinese commercial banks. In the last empirical part of the paper, theauthor selects34samples of commercial banks which includes state-owned andnon-state-owned commercial banks, listed and non-listed commercial banks. The paperselects the34commercial banks’ data of2011as the sample and analyses the financialindex using the performance evaluation system setting up in the paper at the beginning.After the empirical analysis, we know that the operating performance of the state-ownedcommercial banks in the year of2011is very common. The joint-equity commercial banksranks higher than the state-owned commercial banks. But the municipal commercial banksperformance differently which is mainly affected by the local economic development andthe local government policy. The paper puts forward a series of suggestions to the Chinesecommercial banks on the empirical analysis.
