Abstract/Summary:
The key scientific issue about relationship between land use change and economic growthwill be explored in this research based on decoupling theory perspective. Decoupling theory anddecoupling analysis have been introduced to analyzed relationship between land use change andeconomic growth. Decoupling definition of land-use change and economic growth has beenexplored, decoupling evaluation method which based on the elastic analysis has been improvedand decoupling analysis model of land-use change and economic growth has been established.temporal and spatial pattern of the relationship between agricultural land change and the primaryindustry GDP, between construction land change and non-agricultural industries GDP and betweeninputs change of unused land and the total GDP have been quantitative studied on the basis ofanalyzing change process respectively of land use and economic of the provincial regions(excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions) in the period of2002-2008.The results indicated that during2003-2008, temporal and spatial difference and dominanttype or major changing trends of decoupling and coupling degree of regional land-use change andGDP change coexisted.(1) From the view of agricultural land, there is a change of the relationshipbetween cultivated land change and primary industry GDP from the the weak decoupling state tothe weak coupling state; there is a change of the relationship between garden land change andprimary industry GDP from the the weak coupling state to the weak decoupling state; there is achange of the relationship between woodland change and primary industry GDP from the theweak coupling state to the weak decoupling state; the relationship between grazing and pastureland change and primary industry GDP is weak decoupling state mostly and the change trend isuncertain; there is a change of the relationship between other cultivated land change and primaryindustry GDP from the the weak coupling state to the weak decoupling state.(2) From the view ofconstruction land, in addition to the individual regions exist other decoupling and couplingrelationship, the relationship between land for living quarters mining and manufacture ring sites, land for water transport facilities, land for water conservancy facilities and primary industry GDPis weak decoupling state.(3) There are three kinds of major change trends of the relationshipbetween inputs change of unused land and the total GDP: changing from strong decoupling stateto the strong coupling state, changing from strong decoupling state to the weak coupling state, changing from strong decoupling state to the weak decoupling state.
