The Research On Enhancing The Competitiveness Of Exports Of High-tech Products In Shandong Province

With the deepening of the globalization of economy and the integration of the economictechnology, the competition of comprehensive national strength which takes science andtechnology as a fundamental worldwide around the world is more and more fierce. While theexports of high-tech products which represents the strength of scientific and technology anddevelopment of high-tech industries of a country, has become the new growth point of thetrade and driving force of a country in international competition. The export of high-techproducts in China starts not early but develops rapidly, and its exports in the proportion of totalexports of China rise constantly. what’s more, the contribution of high-tech exports to ournational economy more and more significant, and has become the dominant force in drivingthe growth of exports China.To occupy the initiative in the international competition, world regional attaches greatimportance to the export of high-tech products and the experiences and practices of itspromoting policy and industrial support also provide reference for the development of high-techproducts export of China as well as Shandong Province. As the province of foreign trade ofChina, the high-tech industry in Shandong Province has a rapid development and the exports ofhigh-tech product have been expanding, and its export competitiveness improves significantly.The export of high-tech products of Shandong Province in the development process alsoexposes many problems, such as the weakness of the capability of independent innovation, thelow value-added of exports, the obviousness of the structural contradiction. Thereforeaccelerating the pace of exports of high-tech products in Shandong Province and enhancing theexport competitiveness of high-tech products become to the urgent affairs to promote theeconomic development in Shandong.This article finds lots of problems about the export of high-tech products in ShandongProvince though drawing on the theory and results of research at home and abroad, building asystem of evaluation index of high-tech product export competitiveness, analyzing the currentsituation that the export of high-tech products in Shandong Province faces through vertical andhorizontal comparison: Imbalance in the structure of exports and hinder the healthydevelopment of the export of Shandong Province; processing trade is not conducive to changethe way of industrial upgrading and trade; capability of independent innovation is weak, andvalue-added exports is low; R&D investment and government support is not enough; exporttrade friction is growing, such as trade barriers endless stream. To address these issues, thearticle puts forward proposals and measures to enhance the competitiveness of exports ofhigh-tech products in Shandong Province, so as to improve the export of high-tech products inShandong Province: increased government support efforts to establish a policy of high-techproducts export promotion system and an early warning system of trade friction;: Imbalancein the structure of exports and hinder the healthy development of the export of ShandongProvince; processing trade is not conducive to change the way of industrial upgrading andtrade; capability of independent innovation is weak, low value-added exports; R&Dinvestment and government support is not enough; export trade friction growing, such as tradebarriers endless stream.
