Research On The Effect Of Scientific And Technological Innovation On Export Competitiveness Of High-tech Products In Jiangsu Province

High-tech industry has become the most dynamic economic growth points in the worldand an important area of international competition with the rise of the technologicalrevolution in the world scope which is characterized by the knowledge economy.In recentyears, import and export trade of Jiangsu high-tech products has developed rapidly, exportsare among the best, but there are still some problems to be solved, such as the exportstructure of high-tech products is not optimal,serious foreign exclusive phenomenon,technology and equipment dependence on imports, the lack of high value-added products,these problems boils down to the lack of scientific and technological innovation.With such background, this paper based on the studies on relations of technologicalinnovation and high-tech products trade,takes the comparative cost theory,theory ofcompetitive advantage,technological innovation theory, value chain theory as the theoreticalfoundation,and adopts methods of Literature research, qualitative analysis, Factor Analysisand Grey Relational Analysis to study the effect of scientific and technological innovationon export competitiveness of high-tech products in Jiangsu Province.Firstly, this paper analyses the status of high-tech exports, the problems existing inJiangsu Province and current situation of scientific and technological innovation ofhigh-tech industries in Jiangsu Province through the relevant data;Secondly,make horizontalcomparative analysis of competitiveness with Guangdong and Shanghai in district aspectand with mechanical and electrical products in goods aspect,make longitudinal comparativeanalysis of export competitiveness of high-tech products in Jiangsu Province over theyears.And analyze affecting factors of competitiveness in Jiangsu Province,lead to deepreason is the lack of scientific and technological innovation;Thirdly, It analyses the relatedfactors of scientific and technological innovation affects on export competitiveness ofhigh-tech products in Jiangsu Province,mainly includes the enterprise, government,universities and research institutes, technology services,financial institutions,then it analysesthe path for scientific and technological innovation affects on export competitiveness ofhigh-tech products in Jiangsu Province, It subdivided scientific and technological innovationinto nine indicators,analyse the impact of them on export competitiveness of high-techproducts by using Grey Relational Analysis based on the collected data. The following conclusions are found:there is a strong correlation between export competitiveness ofhigh-tech products in Jiangsu Province and scientific and technological innovation,theinfluence of the lag issue is bigger.The correlation between digestion and absorptionintensity, local financial allocations on science and technology, the number of scientific andtechnological infrastructure,and export competitiveness of high-tech products is relativelyweak, the number of patent applications for minimal impact on export competitiveness ofhigh-tech products in Jiangsu Province;Finally, it proposes some suggestions to improve theexport competitiveness of high-tech products in Jiangsu Province.
