Research On Agricultural Exports Of Henan Province

As a major agricultural province in China, Henan province has always attached importance to the development of agricultural economy, and put it in a key position to promote the whole economic development. In recent years, with the accelerating pace of economic globalization, the competition becomes more and more fierce. Henan province should turn to the international market and participate in international competition, only in this way Henan province can play a "leader" role in driving the central plains economic zone’s construction, and it will have extraordinary significance to realize the "three-step" strategy of Henan province from the "Granary of China" to "Chinese Kitchen" and to "the World Table". Therefore, the study of export trade of agricultural products becomes an important subject for promoting the agricultural modernization and industrialization of Henan province.Based on this, after refer to a plenty of the existing literature, the author chooses this topic of the export trade of agricultural products in Henan province with the research methods of a large amounts of data and icons, as well as a comparative analysis. The article first analyzes the status of agriculture in the economic development of Henan province and the agricultural status of Henan province in our country, and points out that it’s extremely important to study this subject; further more, this article introduces the basic conditions and characteristics of the export trade of agricultural products in Henan province. And then it has a deep analysis on the current development and achievements of the export trade of agricultural products in Henan province, sums up the key problem existing in the issue is that it obviously lacks of competitive advantages. Combined with the specific situation of Henan province, this article has a detailed analysis on the main factors of restricting the export competitiveness of agricultural products:the agricultural products are of high costs and prices, lower quality, inadequate industrial organizations, confuse competition orders, poor brand reputation, not deep understanding of international markets and inadequate supports of government preferential policies, etc. On this basis, in order to enhance the export competitive advantages of agricultural products in Henan province, the author proposes some cultivating countermeasures as follows:improves production efficiency and reduces the costs and prices, increases the investment in science and technology and be strict in production quality, strengthens the inspection and be strict in export quality, sets up agricultural production bases and optimizes the industrial structure, organizes industry associations and standardizes the market orders, attaches importance to personnel training and improves operational efficiency, strengthens market development and enhances brand building, increases financial input and optimizes the design of financial policies, through these eight countermeasures, hoping to be helpful to the improvement of our agricultural export competitive advantages.
