Zbejiang Carbon Emission Characteristics And Influencing Factors Research

In order to deal with climate change, the Chinese government put forward in2009carbon emission reduction goals, namely to2020unit of gross domestic productcarbon dioxide emissions40%less than in2005-45%. According to this requirement,Zhejiang province five years planning, put forward to2015in Zhejiang province unitof gross domestic product carbon dioxide emissions will be dropped by19%compared with2010, the unit GDP energy consumption dropped18%. So, Zhejiangprovince in2020to carbon emissions intensity45%less than in2005goals will betrue? If that will be true, does that mean there is more carbon emission reductionspace, carbon emission reduction of goal setting whether need to be reconsidered, Ifcan’t achieve the goal, so need to consider what are the key factors of carbonemissions intensity.In this paper, the carbon emissions and low carbon development, discusses theresearch and analysis on the characteristics of carbon emissions in Zhejiang provinceon the basis of economic growth, industrial structure and carbon emissions betweenthe influencing of the empirical research to explore Zhejiang low carbon economicdevelopment. Firstly, use the energy balance of the energy consumption data,calculating Zhejiang province carbon emissions during1995–2010, and analysiscarbon emissions intensity, energy structure, industry structure of carbon emissions ofcarbon emissions characteristics in Zhejiang province. Secondly, use the related data,through the data unit root test, co-integration test and regression model, finding theempirical relationship between the variables. Finally, study the low carbon economicdevelopment path.The empirical analysis found that the level of economic development of Zhejiangprovince and the per capita carbon emissions, carbon emissions intensity between thefunction relation is three times, and not strict Kuznets inverted "U" curve; To improvethe level of economic development to a certain stage, the carbon intensity began to drop,but the current decline rate, unable to make the target true; The tertiary industry output value proportion is higher, the carbon intensity will be lower, and there’s somesignificant negative correlation. The results show that the development of low carboneconomy in Zhejiang province must develop low carbon industry, we should focus onthe development of low carbon low input industry. At the same time, we shouldimprove the level of science and technology, should develop energy-saving technologyand clean energy technology.
