Thoughts On Relations Business Ethics And Corporate Interests

With the development of market-oriented economy and rapid growth of national enterprises, theconstruction of enterprise ethics has been the main problem which cannot be avoided during thedevelopment process. Enterprises enjoy the benefitsand interests that obtained from market-orientedeconomy, whilealso exposed many problems. From "illegal cooking oil" to "melamine", from foodsafety issues to ecological destruction,how to build enterprise’s ethical value and set up the socialresponsibility of the enterprise has become a common concern among the whole society whenenterprises tend to maximizebenefits.A large number of accidents that caused by Enterprisenegligence have happened recently, such as aniline leakage accident, Shanxi south LvLiangmountain tunnel explosion, etc. We have to think twice about the relationship between constructionof enterprise ethics and enterprise benefit. Marxism ethics and view of interests believe that: First,what people are fighting for all related to their own interests. Second, moral values are relativelyindependent and play a dynamic role in social activities.On the one hand, moral values are notalways consistent with economic and political development. On the other hand, moral values havemotile reaction to the economic basis and the whole social life. Third, morality is a product ofhistorical development, and it changing associated with social development. Therefore, interests andethics are inseparable. Enterprises are the main body of the social economic activities, as theeconomic entity, it is necessary to pursue profits and value maximization as the goal. As ethicalentity, it should be regulated by moral consciousness and ethical principles on a certain level.Enterprise ethics moralconstruction might be ignored while enterprises are dealing with therelations between various kinds of interests and conflicts of interests, which could lead to ethicscrisis of enterprises. Hence,it is necessary to study the relationship between enterprises ethics andbusiness interests.In this paper, the basic principle of historical materialism and the philosophy of dialecticalmethod are used toanalyzethe conflicts betweenethic constructionand business interests as well asthe reason and expression of the conflicts. Moreover, principles and path for ethic construction alsobe mentioned in this paper. The full text is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction,including research background, significance and research methods;The second part is to elaboratethe enterprise ethics as well as enterprise interest concept, and using the historical materialism theory to analyze the dialectical relations between the two; The third part mainly analyzes theprogresses and problems of national enterprises in the process of dealing with relationship betweenenterprises ethics and business interests; The fourth part is mainly analyze the reasons why thereare conflicts between enterprises ethics and business interests; The fifth part puts forward thesolutions to solve problems between enterprises ethics and business interests among nationalenterprises.
