China’s New Generation Of Peasant Workers’ Social Insurance Research

The new generation of migrant workers, between16and28years old, were born in the1980s or1990sand they belong to rural population. With the rapid development of economic society, the new generations ofmigrant workers have begun to be a new power to the urbanization and have become the mainstay in thesociety. Recently, our government switches to the view for paying more attention to the issue of migrantworkers and takes a series of measures to protect their legal rights. However, the future is not optimistic.First of all, the thesis states the producing and development of the new generation of migrant workers,focusing on the group characteristics. For example, higher education level, more open consumptionconception, stronger human rights consciousness, increased city identity and so on. Then it analyzes thesignificance of building the social security system of the new generation of migrant workers, which willachieve to sustainable development of society and will be able to solve the “Agriculture, Countryside andFarmer” issues perfectly. Secondly, the paper not only mainly talks about the situation on the social securityof the new generation of migrant workers, including endowment insurance, work-related injury insurance,medical insurance, and unemployment insurance, but also talks about the reason why the new generation ofmigrant workers could not enjoy the social security. At last, the thesis takes some measures for their owncharacteristics, their actual demand and their own rights in order to improve migrant workers’ social securitysystem from several parts of views, such as system, law, government and migrant workers.The thesis holds the view that the new generation of migrant workers’ social security system will beable to protect their own rights and help to enrich and develop our theoretical system of social security.
