Comprehensive Evaluation Research On The Regional Competitiveness Of Henan Province

With economic globalization and the deepening of world trade, how to improve the competitiveness of the region has become the main focus of attention in the world. September28,2011, the Central Plains Economic Zone rose to national strategies, Henan Province, which is the only province covered in the Central Plains Economic Zone, has an unprecedented development opportunity. Through establishing comprehensive evaluation index system of regional competitiveness, the paper researchs the competitiveness of Henan Province, finds out the advantages and disadvantages, which is of great significance for the promotion of Henan Province coordinated development and rapid development.This paper, a comprehensive evaluation of regional competitiveness as its theme, can be divided into six parts. Firstly, the paper describes the research background and significance, summarys of research results at home and abroad with the status quo, defines the concept of regional competitiveness and theoretical basis for research, then the essential connotation of regional competitiveness, theories and research results, and with reference to the purpose,the principle of a comprehensive, scientific, comparability, operability evaluation system designed to build a more scientific and rational regional competitiveness evaluation index system for regional competitiveness in Henan Province. Secondly, the paper collects the basic data of the Statistical Yearbook2012China Statistical Yearbook and the six central provinces, screened from the comprehensive evaluation of several commonly used method of factor analysis as an evaluation method. Again, the paper analyzes the development status of Henan Province in recent years, and the evaluation of overall competitiveness through the use of factor analysis in six provinces in the central data of2011obtained the competitive ranking of Henan Province, Henan Province to evaluate the level of competitive analysis. Finally, according to the evaluation results of Henan Province, the six central provinces competitiveness, the paper gives the problems in the regional competitiveness of Henan Province, and the methods to enhance the competitiveness of the recommendations.Comprehensive competitive evaluation through using multi-index comprehensive evaluation method of the six central provinces in2011data, calculating the regional competitiveness in Henan Province, the six central provinces on the strong side, but the composite score difference is not too large, competitiveforce difference is not particularly evident. Henan people’s living standards and employment structure competitive advantage, especially in the level of science and technology, human capital, and the industrial structure, ranking last one at a disadvantage. In the course of future development should focus on the improvement of living standards, improving the industrial structure, a reasonable demographic advantage, increasing investment in science and technology, human capital. This paper provides a theoretical basis for regional economic development in Henan Province.
