After Chinese jewelry industry grows nearly30years, it has been reviewed by theoutput value of100million risen to nearly3,000billion, and employing people from20,000people to300million people. China, in the global share of jewelryconsumption, has become the world’s largest consumer of platinum, the fourth largestgold consumer, the fifth largest diamond consumer. Such a huge consumer demandmakes China’s jewelry industry started from quantitative expansion, extensivemanagement to focus on quality, brand transformation.Undoubtedly, the design process of building the brand plays a central role. Everysuccessful international jewelry brand has its own unique design style and culturalheritage. Designed with a unique artistic creativity eventually need jewelry designerto complete. Foreign jewelry designer system is more mature and improved, Chinastarted late because of the entire industry, the designer team building is relatively late.China only in the mid-1990had the first one professional jewelry design. So far, ourcountry has nearly50colleges and universities set up this profession, the industry hastrained nearly30,000professionals, but who have the real sense of the professionaljewelry designer are just a hundred people.Facing escalating consumer demands, on the one hand, part of a super-high-endconsumers in the purchasing power of foreign brands tired of mass consumption,began to choose different high-end custom services, domestic began providing themexclusive custom services senior jewelry designer; on the other hand, the ordinaryjewelry consumer market is also an urgent need to have a certain sense of design andbrand style mass consumer goods. Design talents seemed hot, but the reality is thatsenior jewelry designer should not fully reflect the commercial value of its design, alot of jewelry design professionals are forced to find work due to be diverted.This paper studies the design of commercial value from the beginning of the designvalue of the composition and design of the commercial value of successful cases,summed up China’s overall design industry overview, further analysis of the Europeanand American jewelry designers, jewelry designers Chinese history and currentsituation, identify constraints of China’s jewelry designers to achieve business valuefactors, trying to find ways to solve, draw conclusions.Chinese jewelry designers are not lack of wisdom. With the improvement ofeducation system and the designer’s own occupation quality, the gradual maturation and differentiation of the market. More and more designers will find ways to realizebusiness value. Design leading the era is coming.
