During the period of globalization, the industry of garment is maturing and increasing number of clothing manufacturers have found their positions in the specialized global market. Cloth industry in China is shifting their focus from manufacturing cloth for famous brand companies to establishing their own brands; furthermore, independent designer brand is playing increasingly pivotal role in cloth brand. Since the emergence of local independent designer brand in China, a growing number of Chinese designers have outstood in fashion industry, exerting fundamental but unnoticeable influence on international fashion.What is mainly discussed in this essay are Chinese remarkable designer brands, including those on the cutting edge of fashion industry and those independent. By identifying the situation Chinese designer brands are generally in, this essay is intended to help locating the difficulties and troubles in the development of these brands and. by combining the problems in brand orientation and success in relatively mature brands orientation, to propose would be solutions for difficulties in orienting a brand, to discuss the status of positioning a brand, and to conclude efficacious strategy and finesse for brand positioning.Beginning with the concept of brand and then extending to the definition of designer brand, this essay not just concentrates on the situation of domestic designer brands and potential problems these brand encounter, but also anatomy the potential causes of the dilemma and provide relevant solution. In addition, by studying successful strategy in orienting a given brand, especially comparatively mature one, the essay also advise those developing brands to orient their brands.
