Recently, with the amazing rapid development of urbanization, the amount of vehicles increases dramatically, more and more car stolen affairs have occurred around us. The system of anti-theft tracking has become an absolutely essential equipment of vehicle. In addition, the booming E-commerce also contributes to the development of the logistics industry and the taxi industry is also springing up. All these have highlighted the importance of tracking of vehicles and increased the demand for reliable vehicle positioning terminal.Nowadays, great advance has been achieved both in computer science and electronic technology, which makes the modern automobiles much more intelligent and comfortable. And wireless data transition technology has brought great fortune especially for the information acquisition system, which could extend the data acquisition range and bring the possibility for the advancement of vehicle equipment.This dissertation provides a solution for vehicle monitoring system, which could achieve the aim of vehicle status monitoring, location tracking, voice communication and alarm. The main work is as follows:Firstly, The article introduces the terminal system’s functional requirements, puts forward an integral architecture for the intelligent vehicle terminal with LPC2366as the core microprocessor. After choosing the positioning and wireless communication, completes the design of the interfaces between the functional modules and the processor combined with the module structure and pin definitions.Secondly, according to the terminal functional requirements of each module section such as the power module circuit, we select the appropriate circuit chip and complete the design combined with its charactristics and external pin definition and finish the schematic drawing by using OrCAD Capture CIS. Thirdly, through the SigXporer simulation, the paper analyzes the affection caused by trace length, coupling length and coupling distance. Under the guidance of the signal integrity theory, the essay achieves the terminal PCB laminated choices, placement and routing design.At last, the article proposes the software structure of the GPS vehicle terminal. On the basis of NMEA-0183standard positioning data format, Internet access and socket communication, the paper puts forward the design of GPS data acquisition and communication module detailedly.As an intelligent real-time monitoring of vehicle terminal program, the design is feasible. Through the whole debugging, it verfies that the design could basically assume the requirement and could be easily upgraded.
