With the development of the hot strip’s production technology, the market has ahigher demanding of the hot strip rolling steel’s quality, and also put forward higherrequirement of the control precision of the coiling temperature. The control precisionof the coiling temperature of the hot strip laminar cooling system is an importantindicator to measure the strip whether it has a good performance or not. As the end ofan industrial production process control, the laminar cooling process plays a vital rolefor the control precision of the strip. The control precision of the coiling temperatureof the hot strip laminar cooling system affects the strip’s structure and physicalproperties directly, which is also the important factors to guarantee the better qualityrequirements and good plate shaped of the strip. Therefore, analyze and study the hotstrip rolling laminar cooling system, explore the factors of affecting the controlaccuracy and then get the results of the model’s simulation. It has a far-reachingsignificance for the actual production.This article, which is based on the project of1580mm production linetransformation of a hot rolling plant, researches the laminar cooling productionprocess control problems deeply and achieves some results mainly in the followingaspects:1. Analyze and study the heat transfer process in laminar cooling process deeply,research the strip cooling principle, and get the effects of each factor in the productionof strip laminar cooling process.2. Control algorithm and control strategies of the typical mathematical model ofthe laminar cooling, which used at home and abroad, have been considered to researchand study according to the principles, content, and so on. And compare the advantagesand disadvantages between them. Considering the actual conditions of the hot rollingplant, use the method of the finite difference model as the theoretical basis to researchthe laminar flow cooling system. And it can meet the requirement of control precisionand control implementation.3. Collect and get the various process parameters of the hot rolling plant laminarcooling equipment of the production line. Build the mathematical model of the laminar flow cooling, and get the simulation by the MATLAB. It can achieve betterresults and proves that the model can get the desired goals.4. According to the actual production data, regulate the relevant parameters in themodel and improve the control accuracy of simulation system to meet the requirementof actual production. The results of simulation can play a certain role in guiding theactual production.
