Stamping part is widely used in industry and common life. The ability and quality of punch press, as one of the main equipment, turns to be better and better. Though a lot of companies have the skill to manufacture the CNC turret punch press, the systems of CNC are still under the controlling of foreign company now.In this paper, a kind of CNC turret punch press is used as the experimental subject. The hardware platform contains the IPC and motor controller. The motor controller, which is the controlling center, is used to control the position of the4-axis. Then the control system, data processing and the human-machine-interface are developed by Visual C++6.0in Windows XP.The main contents as follows:1. After analysis of the operating modes, the features of the CNC turret punch press and the open CNC system. The motor controller, which is called "GUC-400-ESV-M01-L2/F4G" and produced by the Shenzhen Googol, is selected as the core of the system and collecting each executive component position feedback signal, combining the I/O module. At the same time, the cabinet is designed and reconnected. The signal of the machine is gathered and the movement of each axis is managed.2. The idea of modular in software engineering is used and coupling and cohesion are acted as evaluation indicator. The control system of CNC turret punch press is developed in visual C++6.0in windows XP, The control system is constructed with different module, such as monitoring module, parameter setting module, the reference point manually module, decoding module, management module and automatic programming module and so on. To meet the B system G code of FANUC-BESK OP debugging, the decoding module of the control system of CNC turret punch press is researched deeply, the code troubleshooting methods are optimized and the use of global variables are reduced while the parameter is delivered by the function. So this module is easy to extend the function and reuse the module.3. The existing hardware platform is improved and the control system of CNC which develop is combined with hardware. The performance of the system is tested and used to adjust the parameters in the system. The result of the experiment points out that this system can achieve the execution of the standard G code and verify the feasibility of the system.
