Hot wax process is a surface treatment method of traditional Chinese hardwood furniture decoration and protection, because the process is spread in the community, mentoring words and deeds, fewer written records, so little is known about the hot wax process. At the same time, the hot wax process is not comprehensive and in-depth, and do not form a complete theoretical system, resulting in hot wax technology development always lags behind modern finishing processes. This article is based on the study of wood material technology to optimize the performance of hot wax process its decorative aspects for the content, the results of its research to improve the domestic wood materials technology status of the hot wax to fill domestic wood material natural wax and synthetic wax hot wax is still system shortcoming of the study, to perfect wood material hot wax theoretical system; to hot wax optimization technology of modern wood materials to provide guidance, to provide a theoretical basis for the decorative design and application of modern wood material hot wax.Technical performance of the wood material natural wax and synthetic wax hot wax, using orthogonal test, the water bath method, gravimetric method, comparative analysis, induction, natural wax and synthetic wax hot wax technology water resistance, resistance liquid, fungal resistance, resistance to hot and cold temperature studies. The results show that:the amount of hot wax60g/m2technology to optimize the process of natural wax performance ratio of2:3.5,5minutes from the wax, the baking temperature70℃; the synthetic waxes performance technology optimization process:the amount of hot wax70g/m2, the ratio2:3, the wax from the time of4minutes and30seconds, the baking temperature of70℃.Decorative wood material natural wax and synthetic wax hot wax before and after use of orthogonal test, the water bath method, gravimetric method, comparative analysis, inductive method, the rough surface of natural wax and synthetic wax hot wax technology gloss, wood grain appear, wood color. The results show that:the optimization of natural wax hot wax technology than the synthetic waxes performance on a wooden surface decorative, more prominent wood surface smooth and soft, bright colors, clear texture, giving the feeling fresh and clean visual. Therefore, the use of natural wax hot wax optimization techniques do wooden material surface decoration in the physical quality of the film is better than synthetic wax.
