With the rapid development of industrial automation technology and the modern peoplepursuit of excellence for elegant clothing, the importance of the high-end development ofautomatic sewing equipment has become increasingly prominent, especially the research on control system of new kinds of sewing equipment. The research object of this article is a verynovel special sewing equipment——the shirt sleeve slit automatic sewing equipment. It is ahigh degree of automation of special sewing equipment which integrating multiple workposition of shirt sleeve slit sewing. This article mainly researched from the following fouraspects: basic mechanical structure of sleeve slit automatic sewing equipment, control of taskanalysis, the hardware design and the software design.Firstly, according to the sleeve slit stitch and sewing process introduces thecorresponding with the four major basic mechanical structure of sleeve slit sewing includingautomatic folding, automatic feed, automatic sewing and automatic unloading, it’s provide thebasis for design of the automation solution.Secondly, according to the technological requirements and the functions of the four majormechanical structure has carried on the analysis to the control task, then the multi-axiscoordinated motion model is established, the number of input and output devices isdetermined, the calculation and selection of motor was done, on the basis of this the controlscheme is determined.Thirdly, on the basis of the control scheme designed, this paper introduces the hardwarestructure of the system. Used the software TwinCAT of company Beckhoff industrial PC withFC3101bus communication card as the master station, kinco ED430servo drive as the slavestation, the BK series bus coupler articulated KL bus terminal module to connect theperipheral I/O devices as other DP slave station. Set up the control system of one master moreslave that is based on Profibus-DP fieldbus communication and build it in automatic sewingequipment creatively.Then each module of the system is designed in detail.Finally, the software function module partition was done,the programming of PC andlower computer was carried on respectively. The lower computer program was writen by theTwinCAT PLC ladder diagram and function block, the motion control is realized. The PCusing Visual Basic programming language to realized the part of human-machine interface. The two hybrid programming language used on the practicality of more innovative, itabandoned its own limitations, make the system more stable and reliable.In this paper, starting from the functional requirements of the controlled object, studiesthe control model, to determine the overall scheme of the control system. Design of softwareand hardware of the control system, wrote the program, did some experiment and debugging,achieved the basic control functions.
