As the key part of Gob-side entry retaining, Roadside support plays an important role inreinforcement and the selection of parameters is essential to its success.based on Gob-sideentry engineering of Wulan mine5768Transport gateway, this paper analyzes differentroadside support method with the help of theoretical analysis and numerical simulationanalysis. Make the roadway filling width and strength of Gob-side retaining rationalization.Surrounding rock deformation characteristics and the general Surrounding rock stressdistribution law are expounded through the analysis of structure characteristics of Gob-sideroof and overlying rock mass. the role of the supporting body in Gob-side retaining is pointedout, that reasonable existence of the supporting body strength is concluded.Based on thetheory of elastic-plastic mechanics, a simplified calculation formula of Gob-side support loadis deduced and the support resistance of5768working face is calculated with the help of basicmechanics model of Gob-side roof in transition period. The factors that influence the supportresistance filling body is analyed and reasonable width of value is achieved.By use of the numerical simulation analysis software Midas (GTS), the influence ofwidth and filling packing material to the deformation characteristics of Gob-side is analyzed,deformation rules of surrounding rock surface and surrounding rock stress by factors above isobtained, determine the basic parameters.The test results of the project showed that the activities of the stress of surrounding rockwas strong while deformation of roadway surrounding rock was small in the process ofGob-side retaining,which showed the supporting effect remarkable,guaranteed the normal useof Gob-side retaining during the production,the results verified the accuracy of the filling bodyon parameter selection.
