Research On Blouse Pattern’s Parametric Relation Model Based On The Female Physical Characteristic

In recent years, as people living standard rising, people pay more attention on theclothes’ fitness and personality. Thus the tailor-made clothes shows larger and largermarket potential gradually. The main requirement of personality is fitness, which meansthat the clothes should be fit for wearer’s size. Many traditional pattern making methodsjust use a few body parameters such as bust circumference and height, other parameter wasdeduced by these parameters, which lead to the result that different two people who havesame bust circumference and height will also share the same block pattern. Obviously, thismethod ignores the differences between the individuals of the same type, thus it can’taccurately reflect the detail characteristic of the human body. In addition, this traditionalpattern making methods always aimed at particular group, but poor fitness for other groups,so it couldn’t meet the clothes made to measure system’s requirement.Aimed at the traditional pattern design method’s disadvantages, This paper proposed anew pattern making idea and method, that’s called mapping method, which is like a mirrorthat could reflect the mapping relationship between block pattern’s structure parametersand physical characteristic parameters. Then established blouse block pattern’s parametricrelation model based on physical characteristic according to the above mappingrelationship. And then developed an automatic pattern generating system using C language,Then based on the automatic generating pattern, sample was made. Finally, this papermade a fitting experiment, and the block pattern improved to be accurate and correct.Firstly, this paper clarified the mapping method’s theory after researching the basictheory and crucial technology of pattern’s parametric design, then discussed the garmentblock and style pattern’s design idea.Secondly, this paper analyzed the mapping relationship between upper body’sparameters and body block’s parameters, and made a study on the block pattern’s specialpart including shoulder curve, neckline curve and dart, and then chooses the Bezier curveto design the neckline and sleeve curve. Finally the body block’s parametric relation modelwas established.Thirdly, this paper analyzed the block pattern’s automatic generating method system,and then designed the automatic generation rules of blouse’s body block. Finally, anautomatic body block generation system was made using the C language.Lastly, this paper made a blouse’s sample using the automatic generating pattern, andthen did a fitting experiment. As the experiment results show, the blouse’s block patternproved to be correct and accurate. This paper’s research achievement will offer technical reference to personalized patterndesign, and also lay the foundation for the automatic pattern designing system.
