With the deepening of furniture design, furniture designers are becoming more and more attention to the theoretical study of furniture design. With the deepening research of metaphor in recent years, it is not only as a linguistic phenomenon, but also as a kind of cognitive phenomena by human; and it has been used in the form of furniture design widely. Metaphor is a cognitive activity which used to illustrate or understand another area by the experience of a particular area, and an ideological exchanges, a way to express ideas and emotions. In addition, in order to make furniture forms to convey a wider and deeper meaning to the users. Designers usually made some associations between furniture and some familiar things which we selected from the nature. And they were transformed into the form of furniture designs reasonably. This thesis is bout bionic design methods were used in children’s furniture basing on metaphors. The core issue and significance of this thesis is how put metaphor theory into children’s furniture bionic design by a reasonable way.In this thesis, in a wide range of information and access to domestic and foreign literature on the basis of design practice, the application of semiotic metaphor theory and cognitive psychology theories, around the "form" and "meaning" the correlation between order furniture Bionic design forms related research for the study commenced.
