With the rapid development of society, ammonia in industrial agriculturalproduction, increasing this amount and ammonia plant products is increasing.Ammonia production process is complex, there still exists many accompaniedflammable, explosive, gas leaks and other issues especially under high temperatureand pressure. Once one of them happened, it can easily cause a chain of fire,explosion and other accidents, cause significant property damage, personal injuryand environmental pollution. Therefore, to ensure the safety of ammonia plant it is animportant task for studying ammonia plant on the production process and the risk ofmajor hazard source for identifying and monitoring.This paper has introduced the trend and the research of the ammonia plantsafety monitoring of research, which based on the ammonia plant hazards and majorhazard identification, for ammonia plant hazard identification and monitoring. Andfor major hazard ammonia storage tank monitoring which designed for liquidammonia storage tank level, temperature, pressure and gas concentration, and otherimportant parameters of hazard monitoring terminal can be monitored in real time,while in the same time, it can be display by LCD and giving an alarm, and it also canbe uploaded via the communication interface first bit machine monitoring forammonia plant hazard identification and monitoring provides a convenient.Since the state of liquid ammonia storage tank is relatively stable, and it is oftenthe weak link for in monitoring. Once the liquid ammonia storage tank has someproblems, the consequences can be extremely serious. It is very important to developa convenient, efficient, accurate, stable liquid ammonia storage tank safetymonitoring system for the protection of the safety of the ammonia plant upon thepoor level monitoring terminal compared with ammonia industrial development is lagging behind.
