The environment was the basement of human survival and development. Withthe increasing intensity of human activities, the eco-environment became more andmore vulnerable. As the direct embodiment of the transformation on environmentfrom human, the land use and land cover change (LUCC) had important influence oneco-environment vulnerability. The characteristic of newborn and water-landinterlaced made the environment of High-efficiency Ecological Economic Zone of theYellow River Delta (high-efficiency zone for short) to be relatively vulnerable. At thesame time, the regional land use/cover changed largely because the construction ofhigh-efficiency zone became the national strategy, which brought more pressure onlocal environment. Therefore, it can provide data support for local sustainabledevelopment that clearing the situation of eco-environment vulnerability, analyzingthe influence on regional eco-environment vulnerability from land use/cover change.Based on the natural conditions and social and economic development ofhigh-efficiency zone, this research mainly discussed land use change,eco-environment vulnerability evaluation and the impact on eco-environmentvulnerability of LUCC.(1) Based on field investigation, using RS and GIS technology, this researchobtained the series data of LUCC. The paper analyzed the land use change andtransfer and the result indicated that the land use had changed largely during2000-2010, which expressed the tendency that the settlement, salt field, livestockwater and reed wetland kept raising, while farmland, grassland and unused land keptreducing.(2) Through the evaluation of information entropy of land use and integratedindex of land use degree, it was discovered that the information entropy of land use of high-efficiency zone decreased, the dominance degree and integrated index of landuse degree both increased, which revealed that the disorder degree of land usedecreased, influence of single use type increased, the land use was in developmentstage.(3) Combined the terrain data, hydrology data, soil data, vegetation data andsocial economical statistics data, this research constructed multi-factor evaluationmodel to take quantitative evaluation of eco-environment vulnerability ofhigh-efficiency zone in2000-2010. The result indicated that the vulnerabilitydistributed along the coastline belt-likely on the whole. The proportion ofhigh-vulnerable degree and-extremely-vulnerable degree were16.61%and17.07%.(4) The eco-environment vulnerability increased noticeably in2000-2010, theenvironment quality decreased. In2000-2005, some zone of mid-vulnerable andhigh-vulnerable degree turned to extremely-vulnerable degree, led its proportion raiseto11.95%from2.72%. In2005-2010, the zone of extremely-vulnerable degreefurther expanded, with proportion of17.06%.(5) Through taking the spatial overlay of LUCC and eco-environmentvulnerability, the result indicated that LUCC had obvious impact on eco-environmentvulnerability and the LUCC process intensified the degree of eco-environmentvulnerability. The expansion of construction land, which occupied farmland, grassland, wetland and unused land, increased the eco-environment vulnerability, while thetransfer of farmland-water and wetland and unused land-water and wetland showedunobvious improvement impact of eco-environment vulnerability.
