In recent years, with the caring and attention of people on the environment, resources, aswell as the rapid development of green chemistry, the atom utilization rate in chemicalreaction and how to replace the quantitative reaction with the catalytic one have beenbecoming increasingly concerned, A typical feature of high green oxidation process is the useof green oxidants, such as oxygen and hydrogen peroxide.Phenol is an important fine chemical intermediates, its demand has been growing.Industry method of phenol is multi-step complex reaction with a large number of acetone andother pollutants. So the direct oxidation of benzene to phenol reaction is widely concerned. This paper made a new efficient catalyst VPAlO4-5zeolite (a-2`) by hydrothermal synthesismethod firstly. VPAlO4-5zeolite has a ordered pore structure and large surface area. TheVPAlO4-5zeolite catalyst showed a good activity for benzene hydroxylation using oxygen asthe oxidant, ascorbic acid as reducing agent. The effects of temperature, oxygen pressure, catalyst and other reaction conditions on the reaction were investigated. It was found that10.9%yield and99.4%selectivity of phenol was obtained in the suitable reactionconditions.(The VPAlO4-5zeolite catalyst was0.129g, ascorbic acid was1.76g, oxygenpressure2.0MPa, reaction time was3hour and reaction temperature was60℃).Selective oxidation of alcohols into carbonyl compounds in organic synthesis is also animportant reaction, and is widely used in laboratories and industrial production, and plays akey role in the fine chemical industry. In the paper, alcohols were oxidized to aldehydes orketones with heteropolyacid as catalyst by H2O2.A series of eight alkyl ammonium molybdatecatalyst.[n-C16H33(CH3)3N]4Mo8O26were synthesized and used for alcohol oxidationreactions. It was found that the catalyst [n-C16H33(CH3)3N]4Mo8O26was0.05g, benzylalcohol: H2O2(15%)=1:1.2(mole ratio), reacting1.0hour at100℃.The yield of benzaldehydeis79.6%. Meanwhile, The catalyst also has good catalytic activity in the oxidation of aliphaticsecondary alcohols; octan-2-ol can gave octan-2-one in the yield of97.3%.
