Research On Pattern Auto-Generation Of"Shiyali" Custom-Made Female Arments

Garment production models consist of customization and ready-to-wear mass production. And customization took hold for garments production in the pretty long history. With the rapid development of industrialization in20th century, mass production of clothes is replacing the former as the main garments proceeding mode. However,in recent years, garments show trend of personalized customization again with the psychology requirement of individualized garments as well as rapid development of fashion technology. Personalized customization against these backgrounds has obvious characteristics of dependence on information technology and CAD technology,which plays a key role in garment pattern generation process. The author chooses the Personalized customization of "SHIYALI",a local ladies’garment brand,as a case to explore individualized body character and try to improve the production efficiency and wearing fitness.In this thesis, the author has finished the following work:1.Most customers of "SHIYALI" garment customization are middle-aged women with distinctly different body shape sin Taizhou,Zhejiang, whose ages are between30and50,and chest around80to90cm.36VIP customers are selected to take measurements. Comparisons with those of adult women in Jiangsu and Zhejiang districts as well as all across the nation indicate that customers of SHIYALI are taller with the average160cm,fatter with average bust87cm, average waist70cm and average hip90.7cm,which is a little bigger.2.Make sample dresses of those36VIPs using the Donghua prototype pattern method, and modify them after dressing experiences. Among the modified data, extract15main modification areas and upon these areas describe body character, after which15characteristic variables are set to realize personalized pattern making.3.15body characteristic variables are designed in an individual prototype auto-generation module based on Modasoft9.7.2CAD software, which makes preparations for rapid pattern generation of variable garment styles.4.Features in both style and structure of women suits, SHIYALI’ hit products, are analyzed to determine the final representative suit—being made of six pieces,flip collars and set-in sleeves. And with this style,research variable styles’ patterns auto-generation and design the CAD modules.5.Verification experiments are made adopting SHIYALI’ new style garments by10customers, whose result displays good effects.Analysis and experimental research have some limitation as focusing on representative suits of SHIYALI, and need to cover more styles and further research.
