Textile machinery industry has been rapidly developing in China since the beginning of thenew century,and domestic loom technology has been taken leaps and bounds.However there isstill a gap compared to foreign loom technology,thus it’s essential to improve the technologicallevel of domestic loom.As one of the five important mechanism,the performance of beating-upmechanism directly affects the overall performance of loom.And sley system as one of the mostimportant elements is prone to bending and deformation when beating.Therefore it’s significantto research the characteristics of bending vibration of sley system for improving the performanceof loom.This paper takes the beating-up system in rapier loom and air-jet loom as the object ofresearch,focusing on researching the characteristics of load and dynamic of the two kinds ofloom’s beating-up mechanism.(1). Based on Pro/E,the3D model of beating-up mechanism can be established,and dynamicanalysis can be carried on which measures the parameters of momentum,spindle drivetorque,etc;Regarding each component of beating-up mechanism as a rigid body, and makingkinematic analysis.(2) Contrast equivalent moment of inertia on main shaft for every component in two kindsof beating-up mechanism,and the results show that the radio of equivalent moment of inertia onmain shaft between sley system and beating-up system is above75%;The weight of steel reedsgreatly affect main shaft’s equivalent moment of inertia of the whole beating-up system.In thecondition of having analyzed the characteristics of beating-up resistance and full inertialbeating-up,sley system can overcome the largest beating-up resistance variation.The results showthat sley inertia force near the beating-up points is large,which is good for weaving heavytextile;It is an effective way to promote beating-up system’s dynamic performance by reducingthe moment of inertia of sley system reasonably,which is bad for weaving heavy textile.So youneed a reasonable balance between the two contradictory.(3).Simplify sley system as model, and analyze its inherent characteristics with vibrationtheory;make modal analysis of slay system with Workbench,and calculate the natural frequencyof sley system.The natural frequencies of sley system obtained by this two methods are almostconsistent.The results show that the natural frequency of sley system is smaller in the model ofsuperposed free beam,and analysis with Workbench has better reliability. (4).Add different number of bearing prepared on beating shaft,and make modal analysison the sley system which has added constraints with Workbench;analyse the bending anddeformation,when sley system are forced without constraints and with different constraints.Afteranalyzing,natural frequency greatly increases when the sley system adds constraints.And it foundthat there’re large differences about the amount of deformation,when analyse the deformation ofsley system with different constraint and same load.The results show that it’s the mostappropriate to add three bearing on beating shaft.
