The flexible roll forming products has characteristic of high carrying capacity, light structure weight and high utilization rate of material, comparing with the traditional roll forming products. The flexible roll forming has become the hot spot of sheet metal forming technology and has been attracted many researchers. This paper focuses on the control system of the flexible roll forming machine, and tries to master the core technology of the flexible roll forming theory, and to make contributions to the research. The changes of the longitudinal section are achieved by the motion of multiple flexible rolls driven by servo motors. The forming accuracy depends on the control accuracy of the servo motors, so the research of high accuracy control of single unit and coordinated control of machine is of important significance. For the flexible units in the single-axis and multi-units flexible roll forming machine in our university, the monitoring of state information and test of mechanical transmission precision is realized based on the measurement and control platform, and then foundation for improving the control accuracy is laid; Automatic multi thread parallel control structure is selected to design the control scheme of coordinated motion of multi unit, which solving the problem of interference between multi unit movement and the coordinated control of multi unit is realized; The sheet contour data is extracted by the discretization in the graph software to make the data file, and put into the motion control module, which the seamless connection between the graphics software AutoCAD and control software Lab VIEW is almost realized, so the integration task from the design to trajectory control has been achieved.
