Aerosol plays an important role in the earth’s atmosphere radiation balance andclimate change, it can cause many diseases when the PM10in Aeroso wasihhaled.More and more researches have shown that the incidence of the heart andlung diseases are concerned with the the concentration of atmospheric particulatematter.Although the ground-based monitoring site can perform on the aerosolparticles, the sites are uneven distribution, which is difficult to monitor the temporaland spatial changes of the aerosol all-round, MODIS has unique advantages in theaerosol optical thickness monitoring and make up for the deficiency of the ground–based monitoring greatly.With the rapid development of the economy and the process of industrializationand urbanization, air pollution is becoming a very serious problem. Inhalable particlesof PM10has become the primary pollutant in most citys of our country. Air qualityindex (AQI) is an important index of reflection and evaluation of air quality a, AQIindex is only characterization of pollution, not specific pollutants concentration values.Because of the6pollutants concentration limit for different AQI evaluation, theevaluation of each pollutant will according to the different target concentrations limitvalue converted to air quality index (IAQI). In short, AQI is the the maximum valueof the corresponding pollutants in the air quality index (IAQI), pollutants when AQI isgreater than50is the primary pollutant.In this paper, we use the MODIS aerosol data of7urban sites in Hebei provincefrom2011January to2012December and the released AQI index from theenvironmental protection department of Hebei Province, Then we make a correlationanalysis between the MODIS AOD and the mass concentration of PM10,which isconverted from AQI, We use the annual and seasonal data separately between theaerosol optical thickness and the concentration of PM10to make out linearregression models, we found a direct relationship between the two is low, Given theseasonal law,the seasons regression model is better than the year regression model.Based on MODIS satellite retrieved AOD data and the ground visibility data,which is from20sites in Hebei province in2012.With the Peterson model andGauss model, regression models were fitted to the monthly mean aerosol scale heightchange with time,and the four seasons and the annual average distribution of aerosolscale height in Hebei province were maked through the Kriging interpolation method。The study found, there is a temporal change law that summer high, spring and autumnfollowed, and winter low of the aerosol scale height and also exists spatial distributionlarger in spring and summer, but smaller in autumn and winter; in the scale of wholeprovince, atmospheric particulate matter emission intensity is the main contribution tospatial and temporal changes of the aerosol scale hight; in regional scale under thejurisdiction; the larger of atmospheric particulate matter emissions intensity, the moreof contribution rate of atmospheric boundary character height to aerosol scale height,and vice versa.Then we use humidity to correct the of PM10concentration and aerosol scaleheight to correct the aerosol optical thickness. We found the correlation between thetwo is obviously improved and use the7urban samples to establish relation models inHebei Plain Area, coastal area, northern Hebei province and Hebei province. Usingthe of ARCGIS software platform to make spatialization of the aerosol opticalthickness, aerosol scale height and the relative humidity, separately from the month,the season and the year.We use the relationship model between the aerosol opticalthickness and the concentration of PM10of Hebei province to inverse out the map ofspatial distribution of pollutants in Hebei province scale, The test of the model ofHebei province by step analysis method, analysis results show that the model is ofhigh precision, the satellite remote sensing of aerosol optical thickness can be used asan effective means of monitoring the pollution of PM10distribution.
