Polyester fiber has many excellent properties, but also has significant drawbacks. As summer fabric, the main drawback of polyester fabric is the poor comfort, which is caused by the poor hygroscopicity. Hydrophilic finishing of polyester fabrics is an important way to improve the comfort of polyester fabric.In this thesis, two polyester knitted fabrics commonly used in the enterprise were finished by using six kinds of hydrophilic finishing agents to improve fabric hydrophilicity. The characteristics of different hydrophilic finishing agents were summed up by analyzing the impact of different hydrophilic finishing agents on the properties of polyester knitted fabrics. Meanwhile, the fabric wicking height was compared with liquid moisture management properties which was tested by using the moisture management tester, then the correlation between them was analyzed.Firstly, six kinds of hydrophilic finishing agents were used (FC-226, TF-406C, LS-WA, TANA? FINISH HPX, TANA? FINISH CHS, PERSOFTAL? NANO-S2G) according to their different hydrophilic finishing process to do hydrophilic finishing on polyester warp knitted fabric and polyester jersey. Then fabric liquid moisture management properties, moisture permeability, rapid moisture-releasility, air permeability, softness and durability of the fabric finishing effects were tested. Then the effects of different hydrophilic finishing agents on the properties of these two kinds of knitted fabrics were compared. The results showed that:for polyester warp knitted fabric, hydrophilic finishing agents FC-226, TF-406C, TANA? FINISH HPX are relatively good. It was mainly reflected in the fabric liquid moisture management property significantly increased. Despite the fabrics were washed several times, the finishing effect was still persistent. After the fabric was finished by TF-406C, polyester warp knitted fabric’s rapid moisture-releasilit and air permeability also have a certain improvement. For polyester jersey, hydrophilic finishing agents FC-226, TANA? FINISH HPX, TANA? FINISH CHS are relatively good. The three hydrophilic finishing agents could significantly improve the fabric liquid moisture management property. Meanwhile, the durability is better than other fabrics that were finished by other hydrophilic finishing agents. After the fabric was finished by TANA? FINISH HPX and TANA? FINISH CHS, the fabric’s rapid moisture-releasility also have a certain improvement.Secondly, the effects of the six hydrophilic finishing agents on the properties of polyester knitted fabric were compared, and the features of the hydrophilic finishing agents can be analyzed. This conclusion can provide the theoretical reference for enterprise, and the results of the study will have a certain application value.Thirdly, the application of the moisture management tester MMT and Capillary effect tester were used to test the fabric liquid moisture management property. The experimental results showed that: for polyester warp knitted fabric, there was no significant correlation between the wicking height and the OMMC. And it was significantly negative correlation between the wicking height and the upper and lower surface soaking time. Meanwhile, the results showed that there were significantly positive correlation between the wicking height and the maximum wetted radius and the the liquid water diffusion rate. For polyester jersey, the fabric wicking height with the OMMC was significantly positive correlation in the0.01significance level. The wicking height with lower surface soaking time was negative correlation. And there were significantly positive correlation between the fabric wicking height with the lower maximum wetted radius and the fabric one-way transmission career...
