With the continuous development of CNC machine tools, it is endowed withincreasingly high demand on performance, efficiency and precision, especially highdemand on the feed system of machine tool, mainly as follows: the perfect stability of thefeed system, the quite fast response to the tracking commands on the basis of the stability,and the comparative high positioning accuracy.This paper makes sure the design of automatic clip type lathe at first, and completesthe design of structure. On the basis, analyzes the positioning accuracy in the process ofthe clip, makes sure the machine tool can complete the corresponding relations among sizeof the cohesive components in the function of automatic clip. Then analyzes the thermaldeformation for the longitudinal to the ball screw feed system, provides theoretical basis forthe system of temperature compensation, uses the method of simulation and test to detectthe dynamic characteristics in feed system which to the direction of longitudinal, and testthe rationality of the design. Specifically including:(1)Determin the design of automatic clip type lathe which can realize thefull-automatical processing, complete the design of machine’s structure, analyze thepositioning accuracy of automatical transfer-tray, determin the machine tool in the processof feeding and blanking, the relations among the range about the chunk of principal axis,the size of the inner diameter of the cup, and the basis size of workpiece processed.(2)Using finite element software to analysis automatic clip type lathe screw feedingsystem in temperature field, on the basis, analysis the thermal deformation of ball screwfeed system, and get a knowledge of the regular about the temperature how to influence thethermal deformation.(3)In the light of the design structure of the automatic clamping lathe, thelongitudinal direction concerning the mechanical drive part and principle of control aboutthe feeding system is established. On the basis, simulate the dynamic characteristics of thesystem, make sure parameters of controlling. (4)Test the longitudinal direction’s dynamic characteristics in case of differentfeeding speed, giving the different position step, and different starting direction in feedingsystem, to verify the rationality about the design of the structure and the settings of theparameter.
