The information collection system of electricity usage is a demand side comprehensive quasi-real-time information collection and analysis system, which is integrated with modern digital communication technology, computer technology and energy measurement technology. The system is based on the original site management system, but more user-friendly. Considering the current power supply and demand, energy efficiency, and the modernization of power marketing, the information collection system of electricity usage is essential. This paper first introduced the concept and the development of the information collection system of electricity usage. Second, the paper analyzed some basic functions of the Changxing Power Supply Bureau, such as remote meter reading, orderly power, and exception handling. The new meter reading mode which is based on the new system optimized the allocation of human resources and substantially increased the efficiency and quality of meter reading. By orderly power system functional analysis and application and centralized monitoring and control of distributed electricity users, the system achieved the goal of limiting power usage without cutting power. This paper also described the abnormal alarm principle of the information collection system of electricity usage Finally, for the low voltage line loss management difficulties, the system made quasi-real-time analysis and improved the situation of electricity stealing and leaking in the line loss management. Especially, the system raised a new technique support for the line loss management when all the low-voltage users were covered. Improved the marketing management of Changxing Power Supply Bureau.
