Aiming at the operational characteristic of the thermal power, a scientific and rational comprehensive evaluation models for the state unit operation of fossil-fired power plant is constructed. Using the principal component analysis to extract the main factor of the unit operation state, the comprehensive evaluation index system was built; using the entropy weight to adjust the subjective weight which was obtained the method of analytic hierarchy process, the combination weight of objective and subjective evaluation was obtained; then gray relational analysis evaluation, Multi-level gray relational analysis evaluation, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, Multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation were presented. The running state of the fourteen units of600(MW) in National Thermal Power Competition in2009was comprehensively assessed. The sequence is basically consistence with the results published by China Power Association, proved that the evaluation method is effective. The research findings are as follows:it can be used in comprehensive evaluation for results of Thermal Power Competition, the competitiveness of generation enterprises, the formulation of micro-evaluation and macro-strategy in generation group, and comprehensive evaluation for other complex systems.
