The main content of this thesis is the optimization design of the structure ofmagnesium alloy wheels, in order to using finite element tool ANSYS To realize thestructure optimization of magnesium alloy wheel, first of all we must parameterizemodeling of automobile wheel hub, we need to use the parameters in influence on themain dimensions of the wheel hub, the objective of parametric modeling is in order tooptimized design of structure, which is ANSYS in the premise of the optimizationproblem, through the modeling function of ANSYS, will be almost all parameters in thehub modeling using the letters of the alphabet design variables, then according to the hubmodel requirements in the assignment of letters variables, establish complete model.After completion of modeling and finite element analysis on the wheel hub model,because the model is more complex, in order to calculate the accuracy, are refined to hubmodel section of large changes in the position of the grid, as far as possible carries on thegrid division of the hub using a mapping division, then the finite element calculation, thehub of finite element calculation results.Then there is the hub of process structure optimization, we optimize the purpose is tohope that the hub of the minimum mass, then carries on the optimization to the influenceof the hub of larger weight parameters, this paper is to optimize the rim thickness andspoke on the hub of the thickness of the two variables, the zero order optimization methodprovided by ANSYS, through multiple cycle operation, optimization of the two variables,that is to optimize the total weight, and volume and quality is directly proportional to thevolume, all here is used as the objective function, fatigue limit as state variables areoptimized using the optimal results, the model of optimal method.The last part is the bending of composite tensile and compression fatigue lifeestimation, based on the fatigue life of bending fatigue and tension compression fatigue ofthe independent effect, estimate the bending of composite tensile and compression fatiguelife, fatigue life and make the reference for complex.
