With the fasten step of urbanization and increasing amount of city traffic inChina, the amount of building bridges are surging as well. At the same time, due to allkinds of factors, quite a few bridges have entered the ageing period in advance. Theurgent task put in front of the current scholars and managers is how to manage andbuild bridges efficiently. Bridge management is a solution to solve those problemsabove. However, China develops relatively late in this field and has insufficientexperiences, therefore no exact standards and regulations can be found at present.Most of the existed theoretical outcomes cannot realize operating in the actualdesigning process. On the other hand, most of the scholars just target at bridgemanagement at project level. For the net level, they do few researches and cannotapply for them into practice completely. So it is necessary to discover new bridgemanagement methods to enhance the efficiency. According to the existing outcomes,this paper themed in the evaluation of city bridge network and finding methods todevelop the following work.1. In retrospect, the development and application in the subject of bridgemanagement is concluded and the latest development of bridge development in brief,both domestically and abroad is stated. In addition, the current developing conditionsof the bridge management system which are usually applied in China and othercountries are systematically analysed. Therefore, the research direction and guidelinesare settled.2. It introduces the index of evaluation on bridges and the methods of evaluationfrom three aspects-the city bridge management regulation, the healthy monitoringsystem and bridge management system in China and other countries.3. It introduces some basic concepts and theories of the internet, examines thebasic elements of organizing the bridge network, analyses the basic characters of thebridge network to build the bridge network of a district in Tianjin. At last, through thereliability of bridge network connection, the degree satisfaction of bridge networkusers and the reliability of bridge capability.4. Through the multi-attribute decision-making methods of the timing to sortmaintain order of bridge network. The objective of maximizing the bridge networkconnectivity reliability as goal, maintenance costs for the constraints and single bridges maintenance0-1as decision variables, the integer programming methods isused to solve the problem. Finally, the bridge network maintenance results areobtained.5. Take advantage of the existing research to target the internet bridgemanagement and then develop an evaluation and deciding system of city bridgenetwork which can be available for users and make it more convenient to let thebridge management method in this paper suitable for the actual projects.
