Refrigeration Compressor is regarded as the―heart‖of the refrigeration system,whose performance has directly influence on the cooling capacity. Refrigerationcompressor performance test system (short for Calorimeter), with the characters ofhigh-precision, automation, stability, is necessary for the compressor performancetesting and the development of new products. Therefore, it is meaningful to doresearch on the Calorimeter, in the aim of its accuracy improvement, and it is believedthat this research will promote the development of the refrigeration industry.This paper mainly talks about the design principles and accuracy influencingfactors of the Calorimeter. Based on theoretical and experimental analysis, the keyinfluencing factors for fixed-frequency scroll compressor and variable frequencyscroll compressor are concluded.At beginning, this paper presents the development trend of refrigerant,refrigeration compressor and Calorimeter, indicating the limit and the necessity of theCalorimeter. Then, the design standards, design principles, hardware systems,software systems, and innovative design of the Calorimeter are introduced, and on thebasis of the theoretical research and practical experience, the possible factors for fixedfrequency scroll compressor and variable frequency scroll compressor are summed upfrom the five aspects—environment, equipment, material, people and method. Finally,the key factors are verified: for fixed frequency scroll compressor, the key factors arethe calibration of the temperature and pressure, the evaporator selection and the oilinjection; for variable frequency scroll compressor, the key factors are the powersupply form, the evaporator selection and the oil injection. Besides, other influencingfactors like the stability time, power supply system, electrical heating, straight lengthmeasurement, are not identified as key factors, in that those factors did not showobvious impact on the test results. But it is still needed to keep a watchful eye on them.It is expected that the results of this project can be useful for the further researchabout the accuracy improvement of Calorimeter.
