《Building water supply and drainage design specifications》(GB50015-2003)(2009)provides that,water supply design flow of III, IV student dormitory in college iscalculated with the simultaneous using percentage method. However, in some projectexamples with self-closing flush valve, pipe section diameter designed with thesimultaneous using percentage method is small. It fully shows that self-closing flushvalve’s simultaneous using percentage of III, IV student dormitory in the specification issmall. In this paper, water supply design second flow formula of III, IV studentdormitory is derived with probability method. It raises the recommended value ofself-closing flush valve’s simultaneous using percentage in III, IV student dormitory.Senior student dormitory lower floor’s overpressure flowing will result in the topquarters’ anhydrous or water smaller. It affects the reliability of water supply on the topfloor. To put an end to this phenomenon, the vertical partition supplying should be takenin dormitories water supply system. In this paper, analytic hierarchy process is used toselect the optimum water supply in senior student hostels, combining with professionaldesigners, experts and other people’s views, by weight calculation and consistency test.Today, the water shortage grows. As the city’s major water users, universitiesshould play an exemplary role in the entire city’s water-saving action. In college studentdormitory’s water-saving measures, only some management and technical measures cannot completely solve the problem. Raising the students’ awareness of waterconservation is more needed.At present, the second-class senior student dormitory only set automatic sprinklersystem in the aisle and public events space in China. The nozzle is not set in the livingroom. Its major fire fighting facilities is hydrant system. However, the past decademajor student dormitory fire accident statistics of some universities in China informedthat the fire hydrant system can not be effectively utilized in fire suppression. The mainfeatures of the automatic sprinkler system is the automatic fire detection andsprinklering in a timely manner. At the same time, it has an automatic alarm functionwhich does not require manual operation. In addition, to ensure that people in the rest ofthe sprinkler. It can also ensure that the nozzle sprinkler in the rest of the time. It has avery high efficiency of fire. Therefore,this paper presents an automatic sprinkler systemshould be set up in the living room of second-class senior student dormitory. This article analyzes the key issues for the application of the automatic sprinklersystem in the living room of second-class senior student dormitory. It determines thelevel of fire danger, automatic sprinkler system type, nozzle type, the arrangement formof nozzle and influencing factors of the sprinkler system design flow. It is proposed thatthe design flow is the total flow when nozzles in the role area containing the mostunfavorable point sprinkler at the same time, and can not be simply estimated. Finally,this paper analyzes the cost of bedroom’s setting automatic sprinkler system insecond-class senior student dormitory. The proportion of the Increased cost per squaremete in the total cost of the project is too small. However, in2010, economic lossecaused by average per fire is quite serious. Therefore, additional automatic sprinklersystem in the living room of second-class senior student dormitory has a high economicefficiency.
