At present, wireless monitoring has become an important technical means of monitoringsystem in industrial site. Using modern information technology, this system has stronganti-disturbance ability and real-time communication feature. It can adapt to harsh environment.On the current situation, there is no complete system in industrial wireless monitoring system.This research subject, which is from Nanjing Condition Company, takes the monitoring of beltconveyor in industrial site as the background and proposes a secure and reliable wirelessindustrial monitoring solution. It uses the radio-frequency technology and GPRS/GSMcommunication technology to solve the wiring problem under complex environment. Thisresearch has certain theoretical and application value.This paper introduces the development status and trends of monitoring system of beltconveyor at home and abroad, analyses the reasons of common fault in the proceeding of beltconveyer and puts forward the corresponding monitoring methods. Then by comparing severalkinds of communication technology, short distance RF technology is used to realize monitoringdata transmission in industrial site. In order to against the communication distance constraint ofshort distance RF technology, the designed monitoring system combines GPRS technology andestablishes a communication link from work-field to remote data center.On the basis of this, theoverall framework of this wireless monitoring system of belt conveyer based on GPRS has beenput forward. This system mainly includes sensor nodes, routing node, gateway node and datacenter. Sensor nodes take charge of front-end data acquisition and RF transmission. In view ofthe possible communication link failures between sensor nodes, the monitoring system poses thedata retransmission mechanism and increases routing node as data relay node to improve thereliability of data transmission.Gateway node works as gathering monitoring data and connectingto remote data center through GPRS network. Meanwhile, the SMS alarm function is designed toprompt abnormal communication of GPRS. In order to meet the working condition requirementsof belt conveyer and avoid data conflict in short distance communication, the monitoring systemtransplants SimpliciTI protocol stack, and a chain topology structure based on the protocol hasbeen designed. Data center could achieve real-time monitoring and record the monitoring data.On Microsoft Access database platform, it manages the upload monitoring data uniformly. Andthe remote monitoring software is designed by Visual Studio platform.The hardware circuit of themonitoring system contains field information(belt conveyor, tape speed, temperature) acquisitioncircuit, CC430microcontroller circuit, alarm circuit, storage circuit, RF transceiver circuit andGPRS communication circuit. Based on the system hardware circuit design, the correspondingsoftware program is designed. Finally the monitoring system of belt conveyer is designed andimplemented. Based on test experiments to the monitoring system of belt conveyer, the results show thatthe data transmission method based on wireless communication is stable and reliable. The systemcould realize real-time monitoring to the operation status of belt conveyer and with good effect.Then the achieving design meets the requirements of the subject.
