With the improvement of mobility and flexibility in modern warfare, themissile requirements in combat area, combat environment and the protectiontimeliness will be further enhanced. However, compared with the automatic testsystem before, the development of portable test system not only brings convenienceto missile tests, but also avoids the disadvantages in volume and weight. Thepurpose of this paper is to develop a dedicated portable test system for a missile.Based on detailed analysis about the test requirements and the technicalindicators in EED(Electricity Explosive Device) test, passive conduction test,analog test and RS-422communication, all of the overall design, detailed hardwaredesign and software design of this portable test system are completed.In hardware design, this paper presents the self-defined backplane bus. Basedon the modular design concept, the entire test system is divided into signal transferunit, power supply unit, control module, communication module, signal input andoutput module, data acquisition module, analog module, relay matrix module andsystem features self-test module. All of the modules are connected with thebackplane bus by a kind of similar CPCI structure to reduce the internal space ofthis system. Moreover, in order to improve the portability further, the entire testsystem is put in a portable chassis. This paper describes the hardware design ofeach module in detail. Futhermore, this paper puts forward some key technologies,which include EED test technology, RS-485board communication technology,communication technology between the MCU and FPGA, system power-up self-testdesign and functional self-test design.In software design, the portable test system adopts LabWindows/CVI andPC/104as the software development platform and the operating platformrespectively. Based on them, this paper designes a kind of data transmissionprotocol to coordinate the orderly work between different modules. In addition, thispaper also designes the system function self-test software, manual test software anddatabase-based automatic test software.Finally, this paper describes the hardware and software debugging methods,and then puts forward the error analysis of test results. The experimental results show that every function and its technical indicator of this portable test system meetall of the research requirements.
