Along with serialization, standardization and universalization of the missiledevelopment in China, traditional automatic test system for missiles that mostlyequipped presently becomes unable to meet the requirements of universalization,miniaturization and high cost-effective performance. This thesis aims to develop aportable automatic test system with partly universalization that applies to a series ofmissles.On the basis of investigation and survey on the research status of automatictest system, conclusion is made that traditional ATSs based on standard instrumentbus are inpropriate in missle test application owing to the blocked access to thestandard buses. Moreover, traditional ATSs with powerful test capability also showa redundancy in the routine maintanece of missles, which results in a disadvantageon the miniaturization steps of ATSs. Therefore, development of a portableautomatic test system based on a customized instrument bus is necessary due to itsadvantages on portability development and proprietary intellectual property.To fulfill the requirements of networking and modularity, the thesis bringsforward an overall architechture which applies embedded Ethernet as the instrumentbus of the portable automatic test system. Besides, a plan of functional moduledivision is presented aiming at the test requirements including resistance test, dataacquisition, missiles’ power supply, communication, etc. Moreover, overall designplan of hardware and software is introduced.Hardware designs of separate parts in portable automatic test system arepresented in the thesis, and designs of SOPC and embedded Ethernet interface areemphasized. SOPC based on Nios II is applied on each functional module to realizethe Ethernet interface and test management, which makes hardware design ofportable test system more flexible and fully integrated.The design flow of embedded software on Nios II processor system isproduced, and the key technologies of realizing TCP/IP communication and testmanagement, which is based on MicroC/OS-II RTOS, make the embedded softwarestable and trustworthy. Moreover, on the basis of VISA library, software withgraphical user interface is developed on the controller module, making it flexible tocontrol and manage the test task.Finally, debug flows and results of each module on portable automatic testsystem are introduced in the thesis. On the basis of the debugging test and thedocking test with a missile simulator, conclusion is made that the portableautomatic test system designed is enable to stably and reliably meet the functional and precision requirments.
