Research On EPC Engineering General Contracting Project Management Mode Based On Design Institute

With the continuous development of China’s construction general contracting market,the EPC general contracting mode has become a popular contracting mode,which is also a kind of contracting mode that our country vigorously promotes now.In recent years,although the domestic construction market has taken a large number of EPC general contracting modes,the current management level of domestic construction contracting enterprises is low and can not meet the requirements of EPC general contracting projects.This requires enterprises to improve their EPC project management level.Measuring EPC project management level is mainly determined by the level of design management,design management is the key issue of EPC contract mode.How to play the strength of the design team,make a well control of design,give the design institute full play of the core position in the EPC project and how to improve the design management level of the EPC general contracting project is a key issue that should be paid attention to.According to the research status of EPC general contracting projects in our country and abroad,firstly,this article describes the research background,research significance and research methods,and secondly define EPC general contracting mode from the concept and introduces its characteristics,and elaborates the research on the establishment of a design institute-based EPC contract mode.Finally,it elaborates the management role of the design institute in EPC general contracting mode combined with the engineering project cases,from the design organization model,design control and design management and other aspects.In the process of this paper,by using the Document induction method,investigation research method and case study method.we put forward the strategies and methods of EPC general contracting project management mode based on the design institute,which will help the design institute to improve EPC project management in the future.
