With the height of the buildings continues to increase, the use of high-strengthconcrete has become a trend. At the same time, the high-strength concrete membershave a weakness of poor ductility and sudden destruction, but steel reinforcedhigh-strength concrete composite structure, which overcomes the weakness of the latter, has broad application prospects.Shear wall is widely used in high-rise buildings and extra high-rise buildings. It isan important component of buildings, which can effectively resist the earthquake actionand wind load. As we know, the major failure mode of the low shear wall is brittle shearfailure that has poor ductility and poor energy dissipation ability under strongearthquakes. Thus, how to improve the seismic behavior of the high-strength concretelow shear wall becomes an important problem in engineering, which needs us to solve.Experimental studies have shown that: concealed bracings can improve the seismicperformance of steel high-strengh concrete low-shear wall (SRHCW). But the axialcompression ratios of the test specimens are too low to find them in actual projects. Themain purpose of this research is to study the seismic performance of steel high-strenghconcrete low-shear wall with concealed bracings under high axial compression ratios, explore ways to improve the seismic performance of high-strengh concrete low-shearwall.The main work and achievements are as follows:First, three steel reinforced high-strength concrete low shear wall specimens withsteel concealed bracings are designed, and the experiments under low cyclic reversedlateral loading are completed. The shear span ratio of the three specimens is1.0.Next, the characteristics of bearing capacity, ductility, energy dissipation capacity, strength attenuation and so on of three specimens are analyzed. The influence on specimens’ seismic performance of the concealed bracings’ areaor the area of the steel in embedded columns are also analyzed.Contrast with previous experimental datas, the influence of axial compressionratios is observed.Shear bearing capacity calculation formula of SRHCW with concealed bracings isestablished, and the calculated values, measured values of shear bearing capacity arecompared. Finally, some methods to improve the seismic behavior of the high-strengthconcrete low shear wall are suggested.
