| This thesis is a sub-project of National Natural Science Foundation, chaired byProfessor LiHeping "Southwest Mountain urban cultural landscape of the process ofevolution and dynamic mechanism (Grant No:51178479)".This thesis is about thestudy of the cultural landscape of commerce in southwest mountainous traditional town.In view of the situation that the process of urbanization destroying the historicalenvironment, the foundation put forward the "cultural landscape" perspective to analyzethe evolution of the cultural landscape of the traditional commerce towns. Then the lawand the dynamic mechanism of the evolution can be concluded, in order to propose thepreservation methods.This thesis belongs to the scope of the study of evolution and dynamic mechanismin the foundation. The study background is "Southwest Mountain". The perspective is"cultural landscape" and the study abject is traditional towns. The thesis analyzes theevolution of the cultural landscape of the traditional commerce towns, for the sake ofconcluding the law and the dynamic mechanism of the evolution and proposing thepreservation methods. On the base of the perspective of "cultural landscape", the thesiscan figure out the physical elements, the cultural elements and the special carrier. Thisthesis uses the dynamic perspective to analyze the evolution and conclude the law anddynamic mechanism. The purpose is to find some suitable methods for perversion thetraditional commerce towns, in order to enlarge the theoretical system of preservationmethods and provide support to related practices.The thesis is divided into five aspects, the emphasis and difficulty is in the fourthpart and the fifth part.The first part (the first chapter) is about the origin and significance of the thesisand the domestic and foreign research to the related theories. It proposed the Focus andapproach of the thesis and the research framework.The second part (the second chapter) is about the overview of the background ofthe traditional commerce towns in Southwest Mountain. As a clue to the time, thehistory of the Southwest Mountain commerce and the development process of thetraditional towns are researched. As a clue to the space, the water and land commercialroad system is analyzed to clearly restore the distribution pattern of the traditionalcommerce towns. The characteristics of the traditional commerce towns are analyzed and the types are divided, which can provide the directions for the analysis of thetraditional commerce towns’ evolution.The third part (the third chapter). This chapter formally put forward the "culturallandscape" perspective to analyze the cultural elements and physical elements of thecultural landscape. According to the characteristics of commerce, the cultural elementsand the spatial carrier are defined to prepare for the next study.The fourth part (the fourth chapter) is the analysis of the traditional commercetowns’ revolution and this part is the core of the thesis. According to the previousanalysis and the law of the development of towns, the towns’ evolution can be dividedinto three stages: the primary stage, the intermediate period and the flourishing period.The priorities and characteristics of the evolution of each stage are deeply analyzed andfour typical cases are cited.The fifth part (the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter).On the base of the previousanalysis, the law of the evolution of the traditional towns and the dynamic mechanism isconcluded. According to this, the preservation methods are proposed, and it providedirection for the future research. |
