The Research On Composite Space Design Of School For The Aged

With the development of the times, the elderly desires a long and healthy life andalso wishes a balanced development of life quality and the spiritual and cultural life. Atpresent, the concerns about the elderly from the whole society mostly tends to be on theresidential demand side, the spiritual and cultural demand for the elderly has notattracted wide attention, therefore, how to build the space of elderly university that meetthe spiritual needs of the elderly is the focus of this article.Based on the analysis of spiritual activities constitutes of urban elderly population,the paper points out that elderly education is an important way to meet the spiritualneeds of the elderly, promote the individual development of the elderly and push thecontinuous socialization of old people. The urban old people will have an increasingdemand for the elderly University. But the number and function of elderly universities atpresent can not meet the needs of the spiritual cultural life of the old people. Therefore,the discussion on the design of building for elderly university is extremely urgent.The author made research on the elderly University in the main city zone ofChongqing, got information about the current situation of elderly University andimplemented a questionnaire survey and interviews for the students at school.According to the survey, the author summed up the existing problems, namely lack ofconsideration on barrier-free design; the layout of classroom tables and chairs crowded;lack of outdoor playgrounds; communication space insufficient and so on. To solvethese problems, the author raised composite spatial design strategies, without change ontheir own, with the spatial form of different purposes, the building space of the elderlyUniversity can realize studying, communication and other activities simultaneously.Based on composite space design strategy, the article discusses the design ofteaching rooms, the communication linkage area and the plane combination form.Regarding the design of teaching room, the depth dimension of the classroom based onthe natural lighting requirements is discussed, followed by the exploration on the roomdimension based on the function arrangement requirements; finally the paper discussesthe column layout for the teaching room according to the depth dimension and roomdimension. The target of the communication linkage area is to meet the basiccommunication function requirement, meanwhile, to create the space forcommunication. Finally, in the process of designing the elderly University project of Chongqing city, using composite space design method to verify and analyze, thus toverify the feasibility of using composite space design strategy to design elderlyUniversity.In this article, it is hoped that through the research on composite space design ofelderly university, some suggestions can be given to the supporting facilities work ofurban infrastructure construction, on one hand, to provide an option for thetransformation of existing buildings, on the other hand, to provide some reference forthe public facilities to be designed for the aged people.
