Energy saving and safety has become the most car technology development direction, the reduction of car energy consumption became the various countries’ scholars research hot topic. In energy saving and the environment clean, reducing vehicle fuel consumption has more and more important meaning, but the tire rolling resistance as the basic factors which influence vehicle fuel consumption must be reduced as far as possible. When truck is in the course of driving, tire rolling energy loss accounts for10%~30%of fuel consumption. Low rolling-resistance tires in our country is also the tire development direction, therefore, the research of tire steady-state rolling resistance has great significance.In this paper the whole research process is based on the study of radial tire structure and material properties, firstly, introducing the generation mechanism of rolling resistance and hysteresis energy loss calculation process, and then aim at11.00R20type TBR tire, establish the longitudinal groove tire finite element model. For truly reflecting tire material properties, the paper use Yeoh model to simulate the super elastic of rubber material. In the temperature field analysis process, defining convection heat transfer boundary conditions.In the rolling resistance analysis and evaluation, founding that tread, triangle glue, the side of the tire and other parts accounts for most energy consumption of the entire tire. The tire rolling resistance of tread accounted for about50%. Getting the following conclusion: Rolling resistance increases with the increase of the load, decreases with the increase of the inflation pressure. Within the scope of certain and with triangular rubber height increases, but to endpoint height requires reasonable design.In this paper, through structure analysis, energy consumption calculation, steady state temperature analysis, established a complete set of rolling resistance research methods, and through comparing the result with test, the rationality of this method was verified. This article research results has a very positive meaning for optimizing the tire structure, the promotion of the low rolling-resistance tires development. |
